I love Darren Criss to bits because I think he's a brilliant performer (and very very attractive :P)
But I agree with you wholeheartedly that the way fandoms, especially with the ability to be free and vocal about it on the internet, are entirely wrong to put their own interests on a pedestal and others down simply because they belong in the majority.
Sure I have definitely reblogged pictures of celebrities and/or Harry Potter quotes with fangirly expressions of idolism but I'd like to think that I'm not actively putting down others because of their personal preferences, especially and as long as they're not trying to change anybody else's viewpoints either.
Anyway I applaud you for bringing the hypocrisy to light.
